To provide accurate local weather forecasts and city-level information,
Weathra may request access to your device’s location (fine or coarse location).
- Automatic Collection: Latitude and longitude when permission is granted.
- Purpose: Used only to display weather information relevant to your area and city
identification.
B. Search Queries
When you search for a city or location in the app, your search query is processed
to return relevant weather results.
C. No Personal Identification
Weathra does not collect or store personally identifiable information,
including name, email address, phone number, contacts, or account credentials.
The app does not require user registration.
2. How We Use Information
- Display weather forecasts and conditions.
- Provide location-based results and reverse geocoding.
- Improve performance using temporary local caching.
- Reduce unnecessary network requests.
- Monitor app stability and analytics for service improvement.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Local Caching: Data may be stored temporarily on your device (typically up to 10
minutes) using local storage (SharedPreferences).
- No Server-Side Storage: We do not store location or search history on our own servers.
- No Tracking: Users are not tracked across unrelated apps or websites, except as
described in the Third-Party Services section.
4. Third-Party Services
Weathra utilizes third-party SDKs and APIs to provide and improve its services:
- Weather Data & Geocoding: Provided by external APIs. These
services receive your coordinates or search queries to fulfill your requests.
- Firebase SDK (Google Analytics): To understand app usage and improve user experience.
This includes anonymized data about how users interact with the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics: To monitor app stability and fix crashes. This collects technical
data like device models and OS versions when a crash occurs.
- Ads SDK: To serve advertisements. These SDKs may collect data such as device
identifiers and advertising IDs to provide personalized advertisements and track ad performance.
Weathra does not control how third-party services handle data.
Users are encouraged to review their respective privacy policies.
5. Permissions
Weathra may request location access to show weather for your current location.
You can enable or disable permissions at any time via your device settings.
Disabling permissions may limit certain features.

Weathra does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
